Niara Eans, LMFT-A, LPC intern is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the state of Texas. She is currently being supervised by Dr. Mee Gaik Lim, LMFT-A, LPC-S. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. Niara enjoys working with individuals with depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues. She also specializes in couples and family therapy. However, she is well versed in working with psychosis, trauma, infidelity, adolescents, and military. She maintains private practice clients through her online telemedicine page.
Niara is originally from Virginia, but has moved to Texas. She enjoys the quietness of the Central Texas area, but also loves its proximity to big attractions and shopping. Niara likes to explore other areas of Texas with her husband and two children. When Niara has free time, she enjoys catching up with friends, watching movies, reading fantasy novels, or exercising. She strongly believes in the benefits of spiritual and religious practices on bringing peace and a sense of meaning to an individual's life. Niara has been drawn to psychology since she was first introduced to it when she was in the 10th grade. Since then, she has been dedicated to using psychology to help individuals to manage their life stressors and improve their overall quality of life.
