Niara Eans, LMFT-A, LPC Associate is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. She is currently being supervised by Dr. Mee Gaik Lim, LMFT-S, LPC-S, AAMFT-S. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. Niara has worked extensively helping individuals manage depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues. However, she specializes in couples and family therapy. She is well versed in helping couples and families navigate trauma, infidelity, communication, and military lifestyle. She maintains Eans Counseling clients through her online telemedicine page. Niara is an ally for the LGBTQ+ community.
Niara is originally from Virginia. As a military spouse, she has experienced several PCS moves that have allowed her to experience life in New York, Texas, and most recently Kentucky. Niara likes to explore the United States and go on adventures with her husband and two children. When Niara has free time, she enjoys catching up with friends, watching movies, reading fantasy novels, or exercising. She strongly believes in the benefits of spiritual and religious practices on bringing peace and a sense of meaning to an individual's life. Niara has been drawn to psychology since she was first introduced to it when she was in the 10th grade. Since then, she has been dedicated to using psychology to help individuals and families to manage their life stressors and improve their overall quality of life.
